The list below is an archive of past misclassification cases heard by Iowa Administrative Law Judges. The decisions date from the inception of the Misclassification Unit at Iowa Workforce Development, in 2010. Every effort is made to keep this archive current as new cases are heard and decided. However, please understand this archive cannot be guaranteed to be all-inclusive, nor should it be relied upon as an exhaustive source of all precedent in this jurisdiction. Rather, it is the intent of Iowa Workforce Development that these decisions be publicly accessible and used as a general reference for employers and members of the public in understanding the misclassification of workers and applicable rules and laws.
